The Great NJW Limited Bake Off
Bake off fever has hit NJW, and we’ve been putting our domestic skills to good use by raising money for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Staff gathered in the kitchen after the spread was laid out. A huge effort was made by all to give generously for the delicious sweet and savoury baked goods on offer.
James Windley’s homemade sausage rolls were still warm when uncovered, and barely made it to the table as people scrambled for a portion. Nico Pop had promised a cheesecake which was almost too incredible to cut into when she unveiled it! Her caramel cheesecake topped with chopped peanuts and popcorn was delicious.
As well as these, Sarah Payne provided a delicious chilli cheese and bacon quiche and homemade biscuits, Richard Brooks made an amazing gooey chocolate brownie, James Gould arrived with a huge apple tart, Kate Whitaker managed to get her raspberry and almond cake to the office (despite working on a client site the day before!), Beth Barlow made some chocolate & marshmallow Rice Krispie cakes and Llewelyn Griffiths brought in his girlfriend’s Swedish recipe of healthy chocolate oat balls.
Together Team NJW managed to raise a fantastic £174 for Macmillan Cancer Support – well done to everyone who took part.
