Suffolk Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (SMHPT) was formed from the merger of three former NHS Trusts creating an estate portfolio of 168 properties. SMHP serves a population of around 700,000 people, employs over 1,800 staff and has a turnover of c£85m.

With such a vast array of assets and staff, NJW has successfully delivered a Business Information Solution. The intranet based NHS Estate Strategy complete with asset management, property analytics, 6 facet surveys, CAD files, condition surveys and GIS mapping has been online for the last 18 months. The original system was developed as an online asset repository for the NJW auditors who attended site to conduct asset surveys and 6 facet surveys for each property. It has now evolved into the SMHPT Business Information hub with intuitive ‘ESS’ employee self service user access and online compliance visibility.
