Phase 3 – Construction – Conference Room Model

During this phase a base validation process know as the Conference Room Pilot (CRP) is established. This is where all data and information previously gathered in the previous phases will be assimilated and the final solution constructed, tested, adjusted and measured for accuracy. Should any process or data structure built in this stage of the process prove to be invalid, the team will revisit phase one and two and work back to a new CRP. It is important to remember that this a re-iterative process that builds upon the proceeding phases.

The task and deliverables during the construction phase are:

Tasks:

Construct a prototype solution in a test “conference room” environment
Track initial installation (system configuration)
Load historic and current data into the new system to validate process (if required all data can
be loaded to test planned activities as well)
Construction of business processes in the solution
Complete the test scripts to verify functionality and accuracy
Build reports
Obtain the production rollout plan
Model the training environment
Finalise training requirements
Develop training materials

Deliverables:

Production test plan (scenarios and scripts)
Production rollout plan
Training plan
Working application and interfaces
Data migration utilities
